Another BH builder commented that the handles on the tail of the aircraft were mounted too low, and were a back-breaker. I decided to mount some handles on the upper longerons for wrangling the aircraft.

These could be built by hand, but a good (read, mandrel-type) tubing bender capable of bending 5/8" steel tubing would be needed. I decided to buy the Maule part.

To do

  • Locate optimal position for the handle
  • Cope the handle tube for fit and tack weld
