I have raised the door sills 2.5", effectively shortening the doors so that they will clear the lift struts.
To do:
- Determine latch/locking mechanism
- Weld on 2 additional hinges (5/16 x .050) per side on fuselage
- Design layout and supports, possibly window
- Design bolt on hinges for aluminum door tube
- Design a latching mechanism
- Buy tubing 3/4 x 3/4 x .062 6061
- Takeoff: (38 + 32 + 40 + 28 + 38) x 2 = 352'
- Buy tubing 1/2 x 1/2 x ? 6061 for pop out windows.
