I hacked out the existing formers that were meant for fabric, and replaced them with 3x8 square tubing that matches the airfoil shape of the wing root.
I used a 1/2" square tube as the rear crossbar. Plexiglas or Lexan will cover the entire surface.
To do:
- Turn fuselage upside down and finish weld the formers to the posts.
- Fill the front round tube stubs while welding.
- Weld large stringer saddles onto crossbar.
- Weld tabs to inner formers
- Drill outer formers and rivnut
- Buy plexiglas
